Parklife Metro will also operate and maintain the Sydney Metro &#8211; Western Sydney Airport line for 15 years once operational.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"682\" height=\"384\" src=\"https:\/\/live-cs-engineer-magazine.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SMWSA_SSTOM_S01_St-Marys.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2066960\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csengineermag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SMWSA_SSTOM_S01_St-Marys.jpg 682w, https:\/\/csengineermag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SMWSA_SSTOM_S01_St-Marys-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>The new metro between St Marys, the new Western Sydney International Airport and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis will provide a major economic stimulus for the Western Sydney, New South Wales and national economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 23-kilometre railway will link residential areas with job centres and connect travellers from the new airport to the rest of Sydney\u2019s public transport system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Parklife Metro consortium comprises<br \/>\u2022 Plenary Group as sponsor, financial arranger, commercial adviser, SPV manager and<br \/>60% investor<br \/>\u2022 Siemens Mobility as sponsor and D&amp;C contractor and Siemens Financial Services (via<br \/>Siemens Project Ventures) as sponsor and 20% investor<br \/>\u2022 Webuild as sponsor, D&amp;C contractor and 10% investor<br \/>\u2022 RATP Dev as sponsor, O&amp;M contractor and 10% investor<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parklife Metro Chair Paul Oppenheim said the public-private partnership has brought together four world-class organisations to partner with Sydney Metro.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"682\" height=\"384\" src=\"https:\/\/live-cs-engineer-magazine.pantheonsite.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SMWSA_SSTOM_S02_Orchard-Hills.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2066961\" srcset=\"https:\/\/csengineermag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SMWSA_SSTOM_S02_Orchard-Hills.jpg 682w, https:\/\/csengineermag.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/SMWSA_SSTOM_S02_Orchard-Hills-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur collective international experience will ensure the latest and best technologies and innovations are applied to Sydney Metro &#8211; Western Sydney Airport,\u201d Mr Oppenheim said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIn addition to the amazing passenger experience provided through the trains and the stations and their surrounding precincts, we will also deliver a host of benefits to the local economy during construction, sourcing from local businesses and creating local jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnother highlight is the sustainability-linked debt financing arranged for the project.
